Passengers pleased with possibility of using public transport for free on holidays

More than 74% of participants of an opinion poll at "Rīgas satiksme" website believe that the possibility of using public transport in Riga for free on holidays, such as Midsummer holidays, the 18th November and Christmas, is a good present which makes them feel pleased.

20% of the respondents particularly stress that such a possibility increases the festive mood, and only 3% believe that it’s advantageous. The same share, 3%, has taken a neutral attitude to such a possibility.

More than 7000 "Rīgas satiksme" website visitors participated in the opinion poll which was held in June.

In June, the website of "Rīgas satiksme" was visited 630 000 times, and information about public transport news was searched for almost 1.5 million times. Information about public transport schedules at http://saraksti.rigassatiksme.lv was requested more than 4 million times.
